Exploring Data in Senior Infants

This week, Senior Infants had a delicious lesson on data in maths, and it was so much fun! 🍪📊 

We learned all about how to collect and sort information.

Lá Glas for Seachtain na Gaeilge!

What an amazing Lá Glas (Green Day) we had celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge! 🍀💚 

The Senior Infants looked fantastic in their green clothes, and the excitement was in the air as we came together to celebrate all things Irish!

A special shout-out to the children for their fantastic efforts in speaking Irish! They’ve been making such an amazing effort to use their Irish words and phrases in class, and it’s so wonderful to see them getting more confident with the language every day. Well done, Senior Infants!🌟

Some classes have even been using Duolingo every day to improve their Irish skills, and it’s been a great way to practice at home too! 

Parents, if you’d like to join in the fun and learn some Irish together, Duolingo is a super easy and fun app to help you along the way. Why not give it a go?💚

Trip to the Garden Centre with Senior Infants

Today we went on an exciting walk to Cavan Garden Centre!🌻

We've been learning all about the garden centre in school, and what better way to bring our lessons to life than a trip to the real thing?

The children were absolutely thrilled to see all the flowers, plants, and garden ornaments up close. 🌸🌼🌿 

A huge thank you to Cavan Garden Centre for being so accommodating and welcoming. You made our visit so much fun and we loved exploring your beautiful centre!

World Book Day Adventure with Senior Infants! 📚✨

What a fantastic day we had celebrating World Book Day!

Now, we know some of the children might look a little different today, but don’t be scared!

They’re just dressed up as their favourite book characters.

It was a day full of fun, learning, and a lot of reading! 📖💖

World Book Day Adventure with Senior Infants! 📚✨

What an exciting and magical day we had for World Book Day! 

Our Senior Infants class, along with the wonderful second class girls from Ms. Maguire's class, set off on a very special adventure to Cavan library. 

It was a day filled with stories, smiles, and some really cool costumes!

The librarian read us the thrilling tales of the Fianna, the great Irish warriors from folklore!
