A Very Special Assembly for Senior Infants!🚲✨

Today was a very exciting day in our school — we had a much-anticipated assembly, and all the boys and girls gathered in the hall with excitement buzzing in the air!

This assembly was extra special because it was time for our Attendance Draw — a big celebration of everyone who worked hard to come to school every day. The more days you were in school, the more tickets you had in the draw! So if you had great attendance, your name was on lots of tickets, giving you an even better chance to win the grand prize!

And what was the grand prize? A brand-new, shiny bike! 🚴‍♂️✨

The hall was full of excitement as Ms.Leonard reached into the stripy box to pull out the winning ticket. All the children sat quietly (well… as quietly as you can when you're excited!) fingers crossed, whispering guesses and hoping their name would be picked.🤞

Then, the big moment arrived…
A lucky student from Senior Infants was announced as the grand prize winner! 🎉👏

This fun assembly reminded us all how important it is to come to school every day, try our best, and support each other. And who knows? Next time, the winner of the big prize could be you!

Senior Infants Sports Day ⚽

Senior Infants had a fantastic time at Sports Day this week! We were so lucky to have such a gorgeous, sunny day — 22 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! But the temperature wasn’t the only thing heating up… the competition was too!🏃‍♂️🔥

A big thank you to Drumalee GAA for letting us use their wonderful football pitch. It was the perfect place for all our races, games, and activities.

We are also very grateful to the 6th Class prefects who helped us all day. They were so kind and patient, making sure we got to each station safely and had lots of fun along the way.

And a huge thanks to the teachers for organising such a fun mix of stations. From sack races to tug of war and hula hut relays, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

There were lots of smiles, a few tumbles, and plenty of cheering — we had an absolute blast!

Next stop — MILAN!🏅

6th Class Girls' Bake Sale & Bric-a-Brac Stall! 🍰🧸

Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some… but not for us Senior Infants — we had a Bake Sale and it was the best day ever!

The 6th class girls hosted a Bake Sale and Bric-a-Brac Stall to help raise money for their upcoming Graduation Celebration — and wow, what a fantastic job they did!

Mr.Arkin's room was filled with the yummiest smells of cakes, buns, cookies and treats, all homemade with care. There were chocolatey brownies, colourful cupcakes, jelly pots and lots of sweet surprises that had us all smiling from ear to ear!🍪🧁

The Bric-a-Brac Sale in Mr.Walsh's was just as exciting. It was full of toys, books, puzzles, and little treasures looking for a new home. 📚🪀

The girls in 6th class were so kind and helpful. They explained the prices, helped us choose, and made sure everyone had a turn. We loved getting to chat with the older girls and seeing how grown-up and responsible they were.

A special thank you to Mr. Arkins, the 6th class teacher, who magically found some coins behind the ears of a few Senior Infants who had forgotten their money — what a lifesaver!💸

Thank you to all the families who baked, donated and supported the day. And a huge well done to the 6th class girls — you made the day so much fun for all of us and we wish you the best of luck as you get ready for graduation!🎓💐
